Snapshot | #HLM2016AIDS - "More than 2 million new HIV infections occurred in 2014—two thirds occurred in sub-Saharan Africa. The speed at which new HIV infections are declining needs to accelerate in order to meet the UNAIDS Fast-Track Targets by 2020.
The UNAIDS Fast-Track prevention target is to reduce the number of new HIV infections to fewer than 500 000 annually by 2020, a reduction of 75% over the next few years."
