Aids 2018 im Zeichen der Krise
Welt-Aids-Konferenz Juli 2018 - UNAIDS läutet zum Auftakt der Welt-Aids-Konferenz 2018 in Amsterdam die Alarmglocken: Die Zeit rennt uns davon! „We are not on track to end the global AIDS crisis!“ Diese Botschaft war an der Konferenz in Amsterdam immer wieder zu hören. Führende ExpertInnen und WissenschaftlerInnen zeichneten an der mit 16'000 TeilnehmerInnen grössten internationalen Konferenz zu einem globalen Gesundheitsthema ein ernüchterndes Bild: Geldmangel, fehlender politischer Wille, Diskriminierungen und Menschrechtsverletzungen lassen befürchten, dass die im Griff geglaubte Aids Epidemie vielerorts wieder neu entflammt. Mark Dybul, bis vor kurzem Direktor des Globalen Fonds warnte vor der Konferenz, dass die Welt gegenwärtig so gefährdet ist, wie nie zuvor, die Kontrolle über die Epidemie zu verlieren. HIV-Selbsttests neu auch in der Schweiz erhältlich
Aids-Hilfe Schweiz - HIV-Selbsttests, dürfen ab dem 19. Juni 2018 in der Schweiz verkauft werden. Es wird empfohlen, die Tests bei Abgabestellen wie Apotheken oder Drogerien zu beziehen, wo eine persönliche Beratung möglich und das Risiko für den Kauf einer Fälschung minim ist.

«Gesundheit für Alle» bis 2030 – Auf dem richtigen Weg oder kurz vor dem Scheitern?
MMS Symposium, 7. November 2018, Basel - Gesundheit ist ein grundlegendes Menschenrecht. Dennoch sorgen Ungleichheit, Armut, Ausbeutung, Gewalt und Ungerechtigkeit dafür, dass bis heute einer Milliarde Menschen der Zugang zu Gesundheitsversorgung verwehrt bleibt. Um das Ziel "Gesundheit für alle" zu erreichen, müssen Ungleichheiten beseitigt und Ressourcen besser verteilt werden, darf niemand ausgeschlossen werden und müssen politische und wirtschaftliche Interessen darauf ausgerichtet werden, "Gesundheit für alle" zu verwirklichen. Angesichts des 40. Jubiläums der Erklärung von Alma Ata können wir klar feststellen, dass die Vision von Alma-Ata dringender umgesetzt werden muss denn je.
